TAG: Would You Rather?

I bet you didn't think there was going to be a post today did you? But guess what? I haven't fallen off of the blogging band wagon, I have just had a super busy week where I was barely at home and barely had time to do anything except sleep. You can expect more blog posts later on this week as per usual, but today- because I am still no where near finishing it- instead of the What's Your Style post on edgy dressing, I decided to do a quick but fun beauty tag. I was not tagged by anyone, but whatever, I am doing the Would You Rather Beauty Edition anyways....



1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?

This one is super easy- my palettes and eye shadows. I wear mascara and some type lip gloss pretty much everyday, and love the way eyeliner looks when I have the time to apply it. I would be completely lost without it, but I wouldn't miss eye shadows. Eye shadows are not really a staple for me and while I love playing around with natural looks or ideas from YouTube and Pinterest, I usually just use them to recreate the look of Mimi from The Drew Carey Show on people who actually let me get a hand on their face.


2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

This one is kind of tough,because hair grows back but not as fast as I would need it to. I've always wanted to go kind of short, but not a pixie cut or bald and would probably spend a year crying over the sight of my hair on the floor. But eventually it would grow back, and I would be able to do whatever I wanted with it. So I think that I would chop it all off because a) hair does grow back, b) after it does grow back I can cut it or grow it or do whatever, and c) super long hair kind of grosses me out because how exactly do you go to the bathroom when your hair is past your butt?

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Coral all the way! I find that- if done correctly- it gives off a more glowy, natural look while the pink is a little much for me. However, I have seen some really pretty pink cheeks and some people who apply coral blush in a way that it looks like they rubbed dirt on their face.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Clothes. I never go into the bathroom thinking, I have nothing to put on my face, but I seem to never have anything to wear when I walk into my closet. Also, you can pretty much create so many looks using just the basics, so I would find it a waste to spend  that much money on something that doesn't last that long. Another reason I would choose clothes is because you can walk out of your house wearing no makeup.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

I would rather apply eyeliner as lipstick. I make a mess of my eyes with a thin little pencil and it would be so much worse with a thick tube of lipstick. Plus, wearing that close to your eyeballs cannot be good for them.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sephora. I don't really have any high-end beauty products, but I have been in the Sephora store and it has everything from make-up to nails to hair and soo many different brands. There is no MAC store around me to judge by, but I don't think I would like it as much as I do Sephora. There's something about that store that just kind of puts me in a "OMG I want this and this and this.." kind of mood. Plus it smells really good.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One lip color.  I don't think I could ever get sick of the baby pink lip, and I tend to use more than one eyeshadow color at the same time, so it would bore me just to swipe one shade on without blending, or adding dimension. 

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

I would rather wear summer clothes in the winter, because nobody bats an eye when you wear a sweater on chilly summer nights, but walking out in a bathing suit and a cover up would definitely turn heads in the winter.  I also prefer to be a little colder than warmer.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Although I love the look of the black nail polish, I find that nail designs look better with bright colors. The quick and easy one color manicure is cute, but I would give it up anytime to have a fun design like the Ikat print or my current obsession words from newspapers using rubbing alcohol.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

I would rather give up my favourite lip product, because I have a habit of collecting tons of different ones and could easily find a replacement. Finding a new favourite mascara or eye liner might be a problem because I have only recently found a pencil eyeliner that glides on like a liquid one and mascaras that don''t clump.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

A ponytail! There are so many ways to cute-ify the simple ponytail and you could wear a different look everyday. This might have just inspired a future post....

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

I would rather never wear lip gloss. I can't stand looking down at my nails and not seeing polish, because I find that it just looks ugly on me.  Every other person on the planet can pull of the no nail polish nails, but mine just terrible. There has been nail polish on my nails everyday for at least the past two years. Besides, there is always lip balm, stain, and stick.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Before I started getting my eyebrows done, I would have gladly shaved them off, and just had nothing there, and that hasn't changed when my only other option is to use a Sharpie to draw them on. It would just look so unnatural and kind of creepy.


14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I would rather live without nail polish-even though I hate the way it looks on my nails- because I find that I am just a little more confident when I have make-up on. I don't feel like people are staring at that zit that I have and things like that. I also have a lot of fun doing makeup, and while I like doing my nails I do not like the waiting for the polish to dry.
